The beginnings of the Fratelli Ballone Burini accordion factory.

1920
Gus Viseur (1915-1974), after years of apprenticeship under his mentor Émile Dupont, decided to take over the workshop located at 17 Rue de la Huchette in Paris, thus marking the beginning of Maison Viseur's renown in the accordion world.
1922
Jo Privat (1924-1996), a direct descendant of the founder, joins the company. His influence will be decisive in the evolution and promotion of the accordion within the company.
1934
Under the guidance of Louis Burini, the workshop of Fratelli Ballone Burini moves to Castelfidardo, at 13 Via della Pace. Concurrently, Burini introduces an innovative style, later named 'Garland Style,' which combines neoclassical elements with a pioneering use of platinum in accordion design.
1940 - 1945

Ballone Burini, pioneers of the modern accordion

1943
Primo Ballone Burini, a renowned manufacturer of accordions, took the initiative to travel to the United States in the early 1940s. Upon arriving in New York, he opened a small shop at 712 Fifth Avenue, selling his high-quality accordions. His business thrived, and by 1949, he relocated his store to 653 Fifth Avenue to better meet the increasing demand for his instruments.
